The last raindrop had barely slipped from the clover leaves when Puddle pulled on two bright yellow boots.
βRainy days bring surprises,β Puddle said, hopping toward the path.
Beside a patch of moss was a smooth gray pebble with one pale stripe. Near the mushrooms waited a tiny green bottle. Under a broad leaf rested an acorn cap just the right size for a very small cup.
Puddle carried each discovery home, but the favorite was not the pebble, bottle, or acorn. It was the moment everyone gathered around the little table while Puddle explained where each treasure had been found.
Tiny treasures feel even bigger when they are shared.
